On Friday, July 9, the Chester County Pops Orchestra's Music Director and Conductor Jacques Voois, DMA will be interviewed by Steven Brodsky during his show "Entertainment and Culture", which will air on WCHE, 1520 a.m. and simulaneously will be streamed on the internet at www.wche1520.com.
Jacques Voois will be featured from 2:30-3:00 p.m.

The Chesco Pops will perform three concerts in July, 2010. The Pops will appear at Oxford Area High School on Wednesday, July 14; at Radnor Middle School on Monday, July 19; and at J. R. Fugett Middle School in West Chester on Wednesday, July 21. Each concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Titled The Pops Turn Five: Memories Come Alive, the program will feature hits performed by the Pops since its founding in 2005. The program will include A Salute to the Big Bands, selections from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Sound of Music,” Gershwin’s Fascinating Rhythm, John Williams’ “Star Wars Medley,” Jobim’s Girl from Ipanema and Anderson’s Bugler’s Holiday. Audience favorite, baritone Greg Kasander, is also returning to sing three Broadway show tunes.
The Pops is under the direction of WCU Professor Emeritus, Jacques Voois. The 65-piece orchestra comprises many of the county’s finest instrumental players. True to the Pops’ mission, since its inception it has presented 30 concerts in more than a dozen Chester County venues.
For the Summer, 2010 Series, the Pops will be partnering with local community non-profits. Concertgoers will enjoy the show but also support ongoing activities at the Oxford Area Senior Center, the Wayne Art Center and the Music Department of West Chester’s J. R. Fugett Middle School. A percentage of ticket revenues will be donated to each community partner.
Tickets will be available at the door. They are reasonably priced at $10 for adults, $5 for students and free to children 12 and under.

The Chesco Pops will perform three concerts in July, 2010. The Pops will appear at Oxford Area High School on Wednesday, July 14; at Radnor Middle School on Monday, July 19; and at J. R. Fugett Middle School in West Chester on Wednesday, July 21. Each concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
